Bernard Bresslaw was an English comic actor who is well known for his roles in the Carry On films. His height at 6ft 7in tall had him cast as Varga in the 1960s Doctor Who serial "The Ice Warriors" and also made him tower over the actors of doctor who who were 6 ft tall.
